uh, theres no way youre going to correct pinion angle AND castor with a shim. pick one, and correct for it. the best way is still to cut and turn the knuckles, that way you correct for both castor and pinion angle. but if youre going to do it quick and cheap, i think the shim would work well so long as its WELDED, and welded solid.

I did it on mine..... don't see why it wouldn't.


Didn't really add much hight, so I wouldn't concider it a block. It ain't ever "splitting" or spitting out, so I don't see a problem with it.


Maybe somone else does.... I'd be curious to know if there it a problem..


edit: after reading 9V's... (he beat me by a second), I still had to cut and turn the yokes for caster angle... the shim just allowed me to rework the cast in perch to get a better pinion angle, which is what it sounds like the original question was...

I have them welded front and rear...never had an issue with em since...:D

I welded a 6* shim to the bottom of my spring plate to put the studs perpendicual to the plate after my pad on the cast was ground.

And 9V, what you stated is not always true.
