i want to do this to my YJ. keep the vacuum and install a manual switch so i can stay in 4wd low and disco the passenger side axle to turn easier.

you know the routine :)

anyone know where i can order the switch? i am told an older full size with quadratrac or even a CJ with same. i was wondering where i could buy a new one?

i don't want to go the cable posi-lok. $200 too much if i can get a switch and keep the vacuum. i have never had any prob with the vacuum system.

thanks,steve

I was thinking of doing the same thing in my vac disco XJ then got a different non-disco axle. Anyways if you want it shoot me an EMAIL (ajnamy@jtt.net)

You can also contact Down East Offroad (Dana 300 flip kit) and get one from them. They have one that they sell to YJ owners when they swap in the Dana 300. It should be around $50.

I had a hard time finding that switch so I used two fuel tank selectors, because you have to open one side the vac and the other side to atmospheric air. I use a little black rocker switch on the console, I like it. It controls both fuel tank selectors.
