Here are some more rims just like them. Basically the new Humvee wheels. If its for a crawler just find some 8 lug 8 bolt humvee beadlocks in 16.5 for a quarter of the price.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16%22-beadlock-rims-rock-crawler-dana-60-hmmwv-wheels_W0QQitemZ120361159959QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ2 0090110?IMSfp=TL0901101110002r21940

Check out Hutchinsons web sight. Aluminum, Protected valve stem, very nice. They make a line just for off roaders. Google Hutchinson Beadlock and start drooling.

Not arguing with ya there... but they look like Hutchison's stuff. They are a military contractor I met at SEMA.

http://www.hutchinsoninc.com/

THey are primarily a military contractor but had openned a civilian line based on the military stuff they produce. The studs that run from the back to the front is spot-on their work. Just out of couriosity, is 3 or 4ish of the studs that hold both rim shells together longer than the rest of them?

Oh cool:smokin:
You know, I looked at that website and I wonderd if they are. The story I got from the surplus vender on ebay was that thay came on homeland sucurity trucks and the government decided that it would cost to much for repairs. So they took them off before they deploid the trucks.

Can you lift the wheel without a cherry picker? My H1 rims and rubber bead locks with 38" tires weight in around 175lbs.

5" back spacing is cool. Tucks the tires under there when running full width too.

Those beadlocks are :grinpimp: good price, too $800 for 4. Says they are made by Hutchinson right in the ad :rasta:They are made by Hutchinson who build the beadlock wheels for military Humvees, built out of aluminum. These are GM factory wheels that came from the factory on specially equipped Chevrolet 3/4 ton armored trucks built for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for on hiway and off road use, after getting the trucks they decided that beadlock wheels were unnecessary and more expensive to have flats repaired, so they took them off before they ever ran them and put regular wheels on them. These wheels also are currently being used in Iraq on armored trucks built by Chevrolet. These are GM part #9595950. Notice the GM cast into the center of the wheel. Hutchinson beadlocks are the best built beadlocks anywhere. They have the DOT stamp, unlike many beadlocks.

Cool. I talked to Hutchinson themselves at SEMA. Spent a good 30 min at their booth. The guy I chatted with presented himself as one of the higher-ups and I was really impressed with their manufacturing. Since they're military, no expense was spared and I believe they even forge the wheels. I was happy to see the new stuff in aluminum rather than steel too. As R290 stated, the H1 rims with BIG rubber are next to impossible to handle by one person.

A couple years ago they were looking at 'sponsering' some rigs, with I would have jumped on that train but didn't have a suitable rig close too completion.

However, I'm seriously thinking of getting me some from them ~ but I think the Ebay thing will be cheaper. I think $800 per set is a good price for NEW wheels definately, but used? I'd try and talk them down or go straight to the US gov liquidator site and attempt to get some for a little cheaper.

If you read the add, they have had tires mounted on them but they have no miles on them

Do the rims have the steel insert where the lug stick through? I've seen aluminum rim with them, just curious.

Thanks

We got it running just in time for Moab. It came down to the wire and the shake down run had to happen on the Moab Rim Trail. Everything worked. We only pierced a hole in oil filter and the also the power steering hose broke. The suspension traveled further than I thought which allowed it to hit the oil filter and the U bolt knocked a hole in it. The problem with the power steering hose was age.
