Cheap insurance to say the least.
This is an OEM style, 27-spline birfield made entirely out of 4340 chromoly material. The material upgrade makes this birfield much stronger than stock.
$69/ea

These work on a fj40 frontend?
My buddy breaks his ALL the time and figured I'd let him know if these are the same.

Is there any info on foot pounds of torque when they break, and is there a warranty?

I haven't seen a test done on these yet. They aren't Longfields, but should be much stronger than stock.

They should. Especially if he's running the 79 and later disc brake setup.

So I am guessing that you do not want to mention that they are a Trail Gear part??

And why wouldn't I want to mention it? Does it really matter?
They are a $69 chromoly replacements made by Trail-Gear.
I sell Longfields as well if it matters. I just try to avoid the typical Trail-Gear bashers as much as possible. Not calling you one, but based on the question, I wasn't going to get into it. :)

No I am not a fan of TG, and, if they were something other than TG I would buy a set. That is why I was asking. To me it does matter.
Just kinda annoyed that I had to go do research to see where they came from instead of you just flat out responding.
But, here is a bump for you anyway..

For 37s, look to the Dirty 30s. I am running them in the current rig as of today.

<Sigh>
And this is why I didn't respond.:(
Look, I am not Trail-Gear, but I do sell their products. And, I know more than you can possibly imagine about the entire drama. If you choose to not buy them because of personal opinion then that is your decision and I respect that. But, why bash a vendor of theirs? :shaking:
I install Marlin, All-Pro, and Longfield stuff as well. Used to work for All-Pro to boot. So, why such animosity toward just vendor? :shaking:

Pm'd...
BTW, on the cruiser front axle.
There are 4 distinct sets of "birfield" joints available depending on year.
68 and earlier are ball and claw
69 through 9/75 drum brake 10 spline stub
9/75 - 1/79 - Fine Spline, disc brake, small shell, longer than mini birfs
1/79 and later the LC birfs are identical to the Mini stuff..
Ball and claw axles are pretty much impossible to convert.
drunm brake axles can be converted to disk brake with some grinding and a lot of parts.
The 75 to 79 stuff may need a bit of grinding on the inner knuckle to get the bigger birf to fit and you would either need to switch to the shorter locking hub or use a fender washer in your existing hub.
Cruisers after 1990 are 80 series (us) and have an entirely different birfield..
If they are out of the country, a whole new set of rules applies...
