We had a Scotty's close up in my 'hood. Went there and it was mass confusion!! They had everything 90% off...so I went to the hardware aisle, found all the grade 8 I could...put them in the cheapest bins--.19,.25,.29 cents and paid $30.00 for all..Well let me tell you...all sizes, course and fine thread..with nuts and lock washers!!!...What a score, I got about 200 nuts and bolts!

I feel your pain. However, I've been doing some side work at a junkyard and I bring home a can of OEM bolts everyday!

Home depot around here sucks for fasteners. All they have is butter bolts and a poor selection at that.

TSC or Quality Farm and Fleet will both have anything that you would need in grade 8 fasteners.

And this is why more and more stores are not carrying high end fastners...guys like you see it as an invitation to rip them off. We're always bitchin on here when rigs get ripped off <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> its this kind of attitude in society that is causing it.

Badassjeepguy,it maybe just as far but try The Nut House in Latrobe,it's on Ligonier st. They should have any nut or bolt you could ever want for that jeep.

It's the same here. I asked the "bolt" guy in Home depot for grade 8 stuff and he just looked at me then asked if grade 8 meant it was 8mm. I have to go to farm and ranch stores to get grade 5 or 8

mabie its cause i'm a newbe, but isnt a grade 8 a grade 8? cause orchards supply hardware usualy has what i need, and if they dont then there is a lumber store downtown that will have it.
