Alright everyone the Rubicon Fathers Day Trip is back! Our group had a great time last year and we are ready to do it again! I wanted to post this Far in advance so that those of you who live far away and have wanted to plan a unimog trip through the Rubicon can plan for it.

Here are the Details:
All CAPABLE vehicles are welcome (Stock Mogs are Capable)
No Jerks, No Drama, No Angry drunks, if you even remotely fall into this category, you need not apply!
We will consume alcohol while camping but we are all about having a good time!
To run with our group, you number one should be looking to have fun, stay on the trail, stay with the group, and be willing to help one another out if needed. All rigs should be capable and in good running condition. We will definitely be there to help but we don't want somebody coming with a vehicle that is not in good shape.

The Plan is to meet at Loon Lake Damn Saturday June 20th at 9am and head into the trail at 10am. (If your coming from far away maybe plan to arrive the night before and stay locally.)

We will start off by heading in Saturday to Spider Lake and have Lunch and play in the sluice box. Then we will carry onto Buck island Saturday - camp at buck - Sunday wheel to Rubicon springs Sunday Camp Sunday night at the springs. Wheel back monday to Spider Lake Stay the night and wheel out Tuesday. (I plan to go up before the trip and get permission for us to camp at spider.)

So if your down to have a good time PM me with your information!

I put the date on the calender. I was going to Big Bear that weekend ( 2 hours away ) Is it all camp on the trail? or do I bring the RV? I should have the dents pounded out by then. Or new ones put in.

Hey Dan,

I think we will be able to make it this year. I need to get a rear cage built to house a bench seat for the girls. Or I could bring my Syncromog...

Ok we are officially close to the rubicon run! This run is going to be on fathers day so please feel free to bring your dad or your son! We will be starting out at Loon Lake and wheeling in the first day to Spider Lake to camp. The second day we will hit Buck Island and camp, third day at the Springs and then Tuesday night back at spider, wheeling out wednesday.

You don't have to go for all 4 nights, you can leave whenever you need. If you haven't wheeled the most popular 4x4 trail in the world you should, because the environmentalist are trying as hard as they can to shut it down. Get here and enjoy this great trail so you can see why we want to keep it open so bad. Below is a website you can go to if you want to donate to the Rubicon Trail Foundation, a nonprofit that fights daily to keep this trail open.

Our group is always a fun group that is on the trail for each other. Meaning if one of us has a problem the rest of us get together to help each other out! This still means you should come prepared and your rig should be able to make it through a tough trail. Most mogs can but please don't bring a mog on it's last leg.

Our Group also will be partying at night, so if you are offended by beer or alcohol please do not apply. I throw out this disclaimer not to offend anyone but to avoid offending anyone who might come not expecting a party! Overall it's a fun loving group of mog owners and others getting together to have a great time and enjoy one of the most spectacular trails in the world!

Pm me if you are thinking about joining us!

We will certainly run into you at some point. We're going in on Friday night and I will be heading out between Tuesday and Thursday. What happens in between will happen in between.
