: RV water and dump service at KOH
JeepRecoveryTeam 01-14-2009, 04:17 PM We brokered a deal with our Port-a-Potty vendor to provide dumping and potable water service on the Lake Bed for the week of the race.
There will be a nominal service fee payable direct to the vendor.
Check in at the main registration booth if you'd like to recieve service during the week. This is available to spectators and racers alike.

Slowrockr 01-14-2009, 10:43 PM Cool thanks for settin that up, one less thing to worry about.
Stephen 01-15-2009, 01:46 PM You may not know but any idea on the logistics of how to get the turds out of my camper and into the big truck? I'm a bit at a loss on how to do a remote dump station or service for RV's. I'm wondering if we'll need any extra equipment. I'm sure the details have been worked out.
Things are going to have to move smoothly for this to work.
Or I can just use the blue room, they're bigger than my portable office anyway. Probably can't shower and crap at the same time in the blue room but it's not a perfect world.
Highsociety 01-15-2009, 01:49 PM Dave and crew you guys rock. You seem to think of everything. Thanks for all your hard work you have put into this adventure.

Propane 01-15-2009, 04:45 PM So we can come with the fresh water tanks empty? Ours holds 60 gallons. Will they fill that?

Good question, or does anyone know somewhere close that we can fill water up on the way in? Don't feel like hauling 100gal over the rocky mountains.
Jeff Knoll 01-15-2009, 06:28 PM Last year the honey dipper had a hose that he would attach to your RV. Make sure no one is using the Toilet or they will get sucked down the tank.
I think 60 gal. might be a little too much for the guy.
Some Rest stops have a hose bib you can fill up after youi cross the Rocky mountains.

http://www.rvdumps.com/dumpstations/
That site will tell you what services there are in what states. It will usually be listed if they offer water or not. A lot of the truck stops will offer water as well. If its not listed, you can call and they will tell you if they offer it or not :roxy:
offroad_joe 01-16-2009, 04:32 AM If your coming off the 15, there is a camp ground a mile or so before the end of Bear Valley Road. It's called Lone Wolf Colonies or something like that. You can dump and get potable water there. They are open 24/7. This is about 40 miles from the lakebed.
OlMan 01-16-2009, 06:59 AM Here is where they are located:
