Anyone know the best way to get something shipped from Canada to the US? Any Idea what the tariffs will be. It's a pair of axles, coming from Alberta, to Pennsylvania.

Thanks

I have done this a few times. We just put auto parts in the description and I have never had to pay tariffs. Although it was never for anything over $100...

Canada is a big country. Depends a lot on where. I just shipped some shit I sold on ebay TO canada, weighed about 15 pounds, standard rate, etc... Cost me 23 bucks. That was to south canada. The lady said the price TRIPPLES or even QUADRUPLES to north canada!

Somehting to think about.

As far as shipping costs go get a quote from Forward Air, they are pretty reasonable. With tarriffs it all depends. Usually if you tell them that the axles are manufactured in the US there is no tarriff.

autoparts are duty free, dunno what a tarrif is but sounds like what we would call a duty

Billa why Yellow? you like them better then CF or Roadway or ABF?
they are all the same thing, American LTL carriers dont differ much

I found a Ford D60 in Ontario and the guy is selling it REAL cheap and ther is a Forward Air terminal there. Anyone get anything from canada by FA? I am going to call for a quote but I thought I would check and see if anyone had done this.

Alos do you thing he will have to totally crate it or just strap it to a crate?

He shouldn't have to totally crate it. I shipped a motor from Canada to US, and it was strapped to a pallet, not fully crated.
