I need another gun, well not really but I want one thanks to the OSR forum. I'm looking at an HK USPC and a sig p229. Both in 9mm. I've fingerfucked them both and they both fit my hand much better then the g19 I have now. Now, which gun is better? why? Anything to look out for in either? Any other suggestions?

Yea I know the title is missing an "o" :flipoff2:

Are you keeping the 19? If so why not get a 1911 :p

If you already have a full size pistol, I would recomend a .22 pistol, so you can shoot more, and have something handy for out in the woods.
Just something to think about.
I really like a 22 pistol for carrying while hiking, hunting and fishing. They are great for squirrel and rabbit hunting.
Try out a Rugger MkIII and a browning .

Yes I'm keeping the 19. I was looking at another 9mm so I don't have to stock up on another type of ammo. Also I don't really see the need for a .45. I don't have a ccw and I have a 870 I'm grabbing if someone is in the house. All the pistol really gets used for is stress relief at the range.

The glock 20 10mm auto I have is just perfect in my hands. sweet pistol. Eat's anything, and can be loaded down decently, and will fuck some shit up if needed!

What your missing is the part where you tell us what this one will be for, so we can make a recommendation.

I like the HK's, but they are kinda odd to get stuff for it seems.....

I like the Walther P99's. A lot. They are available in 9mm.

Just going to the range. I find range time very relaxing and I just don't want a gun I'm going to have to dick around with all the time.

walther p99c QA...best shooting compact i have ever owned hands down.

out of the box the trigger is a lil stiff...but with minor polishing it can be super crisp and will break like glass..

I'm a bit biased but I would go with the P229. Although I prefer it in .40 or .357sig over 9mm.

I'd choose the Sig over the HK, and probably consider other pistols.

I'd also suggest the .22 pistol, it will work wonders to improve your shooting. Mine is a Ruger MK III 22/45 blued with a 5.5" barrel.

I'd get the HK over the Sig, but that's just personal preference, both are very nice guns. I'd lean towards a USP40C though, they only give up one round of capacity for the added diameter/weight of the 40 round. Ammo is more though so it's not as cheap to practice with. I love my USP45C but it doesn't give any more capacity than a 1911, so one of these days I'll get a 40C or 9c to carry.

For a range gun I would eather get a 1911 (you can get 9mm you know) or a 22cal because it is sooooo much cheeper to shoot.

+1 on getting a .22 especially a 22/45 Mark III. It's got a similar layout to a 1911. .22 ammo is way cheaper than 9mm and it's a very good training tool.

Just an update. I ended up ordering a new MKIII because they had sold the nice used one they had. But.....I couldn't leave the fun store empty handed so I bought a CPO Sig 229 in .40. After shooting the Sig going back to my Glock 19 is sort of depressing. It just feels cheap now:(

I had the opposite experience. After shooting a Sig with that super high bore axis, shooting a Glock is a breath of fresh air.

The sig fits my hand 10x better so that may be part of it. Also from the holster the sig points very natural where as the glock I find myself pulling the front sight down out of the sky.
