Nice looking rig. Really clean setup.
Like your cage. Got any side and rear view pics?

Thanx

My cage isnt done. Like I said in a different thread, I was in a hurry to go to an event and just threw something on it to be "legal"(not competition legal), but its a start. Its hard to finish it now that it runs. I can't keep it out of the woods long enough to do it.

Awsome!!
I must have read your mind.
This is exactly what I have been planing.
In addition, I am putting a roll bar in front of the hood, and a brace along the hood from the bottom corner of the windshield to the top corner of the front roll bar in front of the hood.
Also from where you have your tail light to the door handle.
again, what a great looking rig!

How hard was it to fit the SBC and Chevy Drivetrain in the Zuke?

The only mod I had to make to the body was cutting the transmission tunnel. Other than that it was actually not too hard, just made motor mounts and crossmember mounts.

Thats not the motor thats in it, I was still hunting one and used this one to make everthing fit.

And then just extend the hood about 9"

Damn, that frame looks about as wide as a fullsize Chevy! Can it be done without extending the hood?

The frame has 23" between the rails.

You can get a small block in a Sammy without extending the hood. I have a pic of one from another thread, but he had a lot of body lift and the motor sat so low that the radiator sat above the motor. Radiator looks small to me, but supposedly it worked.

Ah, I see...... Fullsize Chevys have about 28" between the rails so very close!

A few freinds of mine built a 350 sami . They put the rad in the back and plumbed it with muffler pipe passing under the body. They even kept the stock wheel base and used scout leaf packs with the sami main leaf so no major mods there, no body either cuz they only had to run 33" scoops and go straight for 200 feet. Sqirrely weapon. Won alot of trophies. Now there is a stout stroker block with 202 heads and 150hp of nitrous goin in. Sweet...
