the new wolff spring DOESNT spring bind, but will NOT allow the slide to go all the way back.

see? it *just* misses the slide lock..... thats as far as it will go back, but yet, when pushing the barrel forward w/ the slide off, you can see the coil bind isnt the issue.

edit:

wait i think i see the issue.... the coil bind IS taking place, since the wind is much more than the stock spring. shit.

so just cut a few coils untill i can get the slide release to catch?
does the slide go back farther than that when firing?

BTW wife is gonna be pissed when she see's the scratches from the front sight :laughing:

assemble with the old spring to see how far the slide needs to go back

cut the new spring until the same is acheived

come on it cant be THAT easy :laughing:

i got it figured out with some dykes :D

ill go shoot it and if worst comes to worst, ill just put the factory spring back in it

What weight is that spring?

Personally, I'd have cut 1/2-coil off at a time until it would just barely lock open. Then lop off another full coil.

I did not need to cut down a Wolff 13 pound spring in my P6. Dropped right in.

one is an 11, the other a 18.

i cut a 1/2 coil and reinstalled each time untill it would lock.... i mirrored the stock spring on how far the slide would go back....
