Hi Guys,

We have a large supply of Unimog Portal parts and complete axles available from our warehouse in Vallejo, CA and satellite warehouse in Atlanta Georgia. We can cover you from the basic seals, bushings, and bearings, to the larger complete hub reductions, and complete axles. Both 404, 416, and 1300. EI currently inventories 3000 tons of New and NOS Unimog parts. Contact Scott for pirate pricing.

Current pricing as follows:

404 Re-manned units are crated MB units re-manned under contract to MB. Normally they would have new bearings, seals, gaskets, and quite often complete gear sets. These were built in the mid 1980’s for the militaries in Europe, and sealed in nitrogen innerted foil bags with moisture indicators.

Unimog 404’s

Re-manned - 404 Complete Front Drum to Drum - $1760
Re-manned - 404 Complete Rear Drum to Drum - $1200
Re-manned 3rd Member with locker collar and fork, Complete - $475

For the Hybrid Guys:
Re-manned/New - 404 Front Hub Reduction without Brakes, with Steering Knuckle, CV and Axle Shaft - $750
Re-manned/New – 404 Rear Hub Reduction without Brakes - $420

Unimog 416’s – (Re-manned 416’s done by factory trained MB mechanic at EI)
Disc Brake Units – Good Used Fronts with Brakes - $2500, Without Brakes $2100
Disc Brake Units – Good Used Rear with Brakes - $2400, Without Brakes $2000
Re-manned Disc Brake Unit Complete Front – With Brakes - $5500
Re-manned Disc Brake Unit Complete Rear – With Brakes - $4600

We ship truck freight throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Cheers,

Scott Ingham

how about w/o CV or axle shaft?

Not offered this way as we would have to dis-assemble the hub reduction to pull the stub shaft.....too much work to do on a regular basis. However, we do sell quite a few CV's and shafts, so if you were to pull the shaft yourself we could work out a deal on it. Best to give us a call.

Scott

Do these have any lockers, hydraulic steering etc.?

singham
01-22-2009, 09:28 PM
ALL of the Unimog axles have mechanical lockers. The 404's are shifted via rod/lever/cable. The 416's are air shifted. No hydraulic steering included, but they do have the steering arms and some of them have the tie-rods.

Scott

A little eye candy of the tonnage.... Large crates are some of the axles, smaller crates and drums are engines...

Hey Scott,

I need a spare portal for my 404's.

This is a complete spare portal that I can carry with me but all I have to do to swap it out to do a trail repair is to swap my brake parts from the broken portal correct? Just swap and play??

Could you provide a pic of the actual portals alone?

What's your price on 2 spare cv sets for a 404?

Thanks Tyler

Hi Tyler,

Assuming you mean a FRONT portal which is a pretty easy swap on the trail. Understand if you carry 1 you have a 50% you will be running it in reverse, but for getting off the trail it should not be a problem.

The deal is to buy a complete front portal at the $480 price without brakes. This includes the portal, wheel flange, CV Complete, and Axle shaft. Considering the CV Kit (4043300035) runs $386, it's a no brainer to go with the complete portal.

Attached are shots of a couple getting ready to send out.

Cheers,

Scott

Used portal Box is going to be in the $800 range without the steering knuckle. Probably better off picking up the complete unit for $2100 and getting the steering knuckles/cv's etc.

Happy to quote the U/Joint/CV pricing, but need to know your axle number. There are 3-4 different variations/configurations. Without either the chassis number of the vehicle it came out of, or the axle number it will make it a pain in the ass and more than likely you will end up with the wrong parts.

Cheers,

Scott

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to some of you this month. (April) We have been pretty hammered delivering 8 promo vehicles for a client. (the last four from Thursday are pictured.)

I believe we are now up to date with quotes/questions in the thread. Drop me a PM if I missed you.

As an aside, we are offering a $200 shipping credit on any axle SET during the month of May. Just let us know you are a Pirate member.

Cheers,

Scott

Hi Guys,

Just returned from working in the warehouse in Europe. We loaded a couple of containers of spares and sent them back. Focused on Hub Reductions, Steering Knuckles, CV's, etc., this trip.

We also just got our reproduction hub reduction gaskets in. They are nice...cheap as well.

January 1st we will be adjusting prices to take into account the current exchange rates. It may get ugly!

Cheers,

Scott Ingham
