Just a quick update (hence the street pics) got the built TH400 with Art Carr reverse Manual valve body along with an ORD doubler (clocked 2"), also had the shift rail ground for the front wheel drive option. Jess at High angle set me up with the 1350/1410 go sticks that move this pig, also mounted the new 39.5's on TrailReady bead locks. Will be leaving for Moab in a few days so get to flog it and see how it does, still need to cut the front fenders like the rear but am running out of time, will have more wheeling pics next week. Yeah It's wide and heavy but I have room for 5 grown adults plus a 39.5" spare mounted inside and it's mostly street legal and fun as hell. :flipoff2:

Looks Great, Steve. I think you can quit calling it a really wide 4runner now. Did you end up w/a lower gear set for the 400?

I almost did, but didn't want to mess with the tranny gears, I hear rumor that low gears for the 205 may be coming next year, so I could do that if I really need to go lower. I still would like to do something with the bedsides fist.

The sad thing is, no matter how hard you try, that thing will never be anywhere near as clean as mine. :D

If i remember correctly, that is the yellow blazer that ESPN said was running all stock drivetrain with the camera pointing straight at the 2.5 tons.

Cool Yellow Blazer, no problems with bedsides there! Just got back from Moab tonight, broke a tie-rod end in two (it actually bent pretty far before it broke) and lost an ARB O-ring (I think) blows air out the vent, other than that everything went well. My street tires (SSR) are all but falling apart, the outer side lugs on all the tires are gone, man, I need a tow rig bad. Have had good luck keeping it straight so far, but my time is coming, plan on running Independance maybe next month and haven't seen anyone with a full-size come out without damage yet.

i have seen SSR get some real shit mileage on the street, 10,000 or so is as far as several sets ive seen last, 1 set on a toy with 33, one on chevy truck with 35 and another on jeep with 35 all had almost nill tread at 10-11 thousand miles, and they were not wheeled very hard, the toy was a concrete cowboy too, so its not like they had trail abuse

nice job! You're right...Indy will most likely give you some scars, especially the Patriot.

It's only that clean because he has a sheet metal fairy that looks over his shoulder:mad: If she hears him talking about a place that will bend it up she makes something break so he can't go.:p
