Hey guys. I have the opportunity to buy a 78 CJ5 with a 3 inch lift for about 700.00 bucks. It's a project Jeep however it runs and drives.

I'm a rather large guy so I had a few questions. How "big man friendly" are these Jeeps? I have yet to sit in one. I'm 6'4'' about 400lbs.

Can the seat be moved back any more or is their a hump?

Has anyone found a detachable steering wheel for these Jeeps?

ur going to have a hardtime in a cj5 man i had a 73 in 5 10 250ish and it was tite at times on me getting in ud be better off to find you a cj7 or a yj

not sure on this but u can make any thing work i know they make them for buggys they should for a cj

Ive got a 73 cj5. Im 5'11 210 and it fits like a glove. Im planning to trim the fender to move the seat back a bit. Might be a little small for you.
