Big Fire

does anyone remember the fire that was just outside the box on memorial day weekend, now that was a fire. We pulled 2 big A$$ dead trees into our site and put 5 gl gas on them and lit that $H!t up it was great had the whole valley lit up. Do that again and it will keep you warm. One of out tents that was a good 25ft away started to melt. About going to the con, I have some drive line stuff to work out, but that sounds like a good time.

If I can get comfy with my Jeep again I may just have to make it.

Most likely just porting the box. I don't have parts yet, but at least I could see how it's done.

TeraTJ, it's people like you that the enviromentalists love to hate. What a claim to fame, a fire so big you see it throughout the valley? tearing down snags?
I love to run the Rubicon but I don't get a kick from destroying it like a lot of the goobers on this site do.
I guess theres no such thing as treading lightly for some people. Keep it up and we will have to wheel in our own back yards.

Jeeplvr4A, what crawled up your ass? I mean accusing a lot of the people on this board of destroying the Rubicon? where were you for the cleanup. wait, you forgot to say that the Pirates here rape, pillage, and kill everyone on the trail. Grow up. I think he did not mean he would have a huge fire out there, he was just exaggerating a bit on it.

effin A! I was thinking the same thing. The whole point of Tread Lightly is to LEAVE NO TRACE. Yes we cannot help tire treads in the mud, but pulling two full trees and making a huge bon fire leaves black charcoal shiat everywhere. And before anyone flames me, I worked 6 hours on Saturday for the cleanup this year and filled 3 of those black bags. Fires should be left in circles, if at all.

Flame away you muthas.

By his own description, that fire was too big. Irresponsible and immature, IMO.

That said, I want to go on this run to hang out with some good friends on the last big Rubicon trip of the year. Any bitching, any whining and I'm kicking some ass.

I guess theres no such thing as treading lightly for some people. Keep it up and we will have to wheel in our own back yards. Yes it was a big fire on a big ass rock, and the trees were dead, no i dont't cut down live trees and burn them for the hell of it. Maybe the fire was too big but what we really stupid was the A$$ in the rig that plays all the disco music while he is wheeling running over a big ass fire with is rig to be really cool. That a good one put a rig with a gas tank over a raging fire. The fire didn't do any damage and it wouldn't have ethier, and everyone that was around came over and shared in our fun and warmth.

Flatty I always have a bug up my ass when it comes to sloppy wheelers,

FYI, I couldn't make it for the POR cleanup but I was up there just after the Jamboree and the trash throughout the campsites was nothing short of incredible!

Not only did I haul 4 large bags of trash from my campsite, which were all ready there, but also some scum bag left 3 more bags in my pickup at the staging area.

You POR guys have to realize that even though the Con cleanup is very admirable, you guys that make it up there aren’t the only SOB’s that take care of that place and cleaning it up doesn’t mean some of you have the right to treat it as you like. I am trying not to stereotype all POR members because that would be far from fair, but from what I have seen in the past, a select few of you can be very irresponsible. Of course it’s not just POR members, it’s many, many others as well.

That place is a public place, so stay on the trails and use it responsibly or like I said before, keep it up and we will all be wheeling in our own back yards.
