OK now I can find what will work for spares between a YJ and a TJ which helps at the wrecking yard. But what about a XJ does anyone know where to research on what stock parts are compatible from a XJ to a TJ or YJ. I've already searched and all I found was Mo's cool thread on stock parts that hardly anybody posted on. I'm looking mainly for axle, steering, engine, info. I even tried to get the parts guy at the stealership but that info isn't given to him he said. Perfect example I found a pair of shafts out of a 88' XJ wagoneer that would fit my gay ass 30 for spares. The length and hubs are the same but there is no taper at the ends like the ones on the stock TJ.:flipoff2:

The answer is no stock Jseries Waggy axles or much of anything will work on the Sahara Mall Humper 2000

Did you mean XJ???????????????

I'm sorry guys I'm learning him as fast as I can  Wagoneer waggy whatever yes I meant XJ and its a 98' trick bitch but it does hump the mall a lot:laughing: . Anyhow where can I find info on XJ compatibility?

Actually nothing should be compatible because you should be running a ford 8.8 rear and dana 44 front. If you want to run waggy springs front, thats ok.;)

His 30 is nearly the same strength as a 44. Similar size axle shafts the same 297 U-Joints. Just a slightly smaller R&P, and no lockouts. The lack of manual hubs, and difficulty in running hi - steer setups are the only real disadvantages his 30 has over a standard 44.

I do not believe there are any compatable older parts with the TJ dana 30 inner axles. You could try a XJ without the disconnect. Those may work. For outer shafts, 95 1/2 YJ and some XJ's will work.

nope. His 30 is regular cut r&p gears, whereas yj's had a reverse cut r&p making them stronger. Also, his shafts are not nearly the sheer strength of a Dana 44. And to cap it all off, A highsteer is readily available for a dana44 whereas it costs $$$ for a dana30

30 housings are not as strong as 44s either.
