This is a 1968 20" Ikegai A-20 ENGINE LATHE . It was in service and fully operational (in my shop at work) when taken in on trade about 6 years ago. This is a quality heavy duty machine that has many features and is fully tooled. It does show signs of wear but has many years of life remaining. If you are looking for a high precision lathe, then this is NOT the machine for you.Not to say that you cant hold tight tollerances,but its a little more work due to wear.I have made a lot stuff on this lathe and it is possible to hold +/- .001 or less once you get used to it. If you are looking for a heavy duty machine for general work, you may want to look at this one. It is fully tooled and includes the following:
