i just bought a full floating rear dana 60. I want to check the brakes but cant figure out how to get the damn thing apart. ANy info would be great.

You need to back the shoes off with a screwdriver, then pull the axle and outer bearing out.

ALl that just to check the drums!!!!

there right you have to back the shoes off and when you do you may want to have the lip on the inside machined off.
