this it?

PC2016 ~ (Bottom) Stevens Model 58, "Savage Arms Corp., Chicopee Falls, Mass." bolt action, clip feed 16 gauge shotgun with 25" barrel and "Savage Adjustable Choke" attached. Hardwood stock is in excellent condition with very few dings and has a rubber butt pad. The metal appears to have been painted black - possibly over some receiver pitting, but hard to tell - but also looks like it can be cleaned. Overall this could be a fine looking gun with a little TLC, it has a fine bore and 2 3/4" chamber, no serial number. We offer this at $189.00 ... BUY NOW ... . FFL required.

January Special ... $159.00

I posted mine in the "truck gun" thread too. Free like yours only 12 gauge. Step Dad found it in his safe and couldnt remeber where it came from only that its been in there for the last 30 years, never been shot. Cleaned it up and cut about 5-6 inchs off the barrel to keep it legal, cut the stock long enough to keep it legal. Shot it this weekend for the first time. Works pretty good. :)

btw, from what I read their not worth much. Hence the no hesitation hack the thing down.

Make sure its legal in your area. In AK all we have to worry about is Fed laws.
Legal is 18" barrel and over all length is 26". Mine is 18.5" and around 27-28ish over all length

I'll have to check, but I think it's the same here. Where in the breech does the measurement start?

I just dropped a rod in with the bolt closed and added half an inch to that just in case. It's not quite done yet as I am making a sling out of some old seatbelts and buckel out of my wheeling rig. Going for the roadwarrior look :)
