Looks like I'm going to be in Phoenix on a business trip from Oct 9 thru the 13th.....Saturday the 12th is my "free" day, stuck with meetings/outings earlier in the week and a 6am flight home on Sunday morning.

WANTED: passenger seat to ride in....have digital camera and not afraid to use it. Stuck with "day ride" time only tho. Also need dinner "dates" for that evening, unless the ride extends into the wee hours of my flight time...heh heh

Whas up woody, i would love to meet you. Hopefully i will have a job by then, but we will definitely wheel that saturday. If it is cool enough we can go during the day, but we usually run at night when it's hot. Send me a PM when we are getting closer to October, and i'll give ya my number.

Might be able to set-up a run and then run to Tempe for good beer...might have to get a group together for WhiteTanks....let me know as it gets closed as I'm a wuss and don't ride my truck in the heat, that's what a boat is for.......

Hey coyote!! I saw your rig today at Randy Ellis's shop. They were gettin the front 60 shaved, and almost ready to weld up the plate on the bottom. Looks good so far. It was kinda funny, 'cause i have seen you sig line here. And i walked in and saw just another FJ40, so i checked out the drivetrain, and recognized the warden billet case. I said, "randy - who's rig is this?" "I think he goes by coyote??" Anyways, sweet ride man, we need to get together and wheel as soon as they get your diffs finished!!

Sure...Randy's a pretty cool dude, I just want his dog....very cool and friendly as hell....sure we will hook up and do some trails, got a few dude's that hang on the Toyota section that wheel pretty well, just need to finish a few things up and gets some new shoe's for the hummer wheels.....target the middle of Sept I hope....just got round up a few dollars to finish it off.....

I'm taking my family (which includes the cruiser...the son i never had..) to move to phoenix in july of 2003... there must be a club for cruisers there??? which side of town are most people?

peiser- I live in Scottsdale, East Valley. There are a couple of cruiser clubs i guess, but they are for more stockish rigs, just good family trail rides. The more extreme guys just get together whenever. There are trails to the north about 45 mins, the east about 1 hr, and the west about 1 hr. So anywhere you live, you will be close to something, but not too far away from the others. Good Luck!

yup, everyone is pretty much spread out through the valley and we are surrounded by trails. i guess it just depends how much you want to spend on a home as to where you move.

Naw...just a bunny trail is sufficient...I'm just a web wheeler anyways... ;)

Peiserg, EAST SIDE BABY!! I'm a little biased though seein as how I grew up on the east side, and just built a house out there. Pricing and job locations play a major role in choosing where you want to live in the Valley. Our freeway system here sucks ass, period. As long as you stay off the freeways you're alright for traffic. Regardless, these guys are right, wheeling abounds in close proximity no matter where you decide to take up. Good luck!

BMAN it went well, its not a hard enough trail to brake junk unless you motor mounts are busted loose previously and you throw your fan through the radiator like i did:rolleyes: oh well i've had worse, and was able to get home on about 7 gallons of water;) of course i didnt get to play on what few rocks are on that trail. aww always another day. but on the upside, elf got to check out telegraph, and although a harmless trail its still a must do at least once.

Sucks about radiator bro! Glad you made it home alright. My buddies didn't end up runnin the trail until this weekend though. I still didn't go, the new house thing was kickin my ass all week. Maybe next time.

well, I'm still moving gthere next august/sept. so far looks like I'll be working at Del Webb hospital which is sun city west... yah yah, all those old people, what the heck.. I grew up in phoenix, so know the layout pretty well. the good news is it must be genetic, as my dad has a '73 fj55 (he lives in pinetop)

New development woody - I just realized that the UROC SuperCrawl in Farmington is the same weekend you will be here. I may have a spotting gig at the event, and if not, i will prolly still go as a spectator. I will let you know if plans change, but most likely, I will be out of town.
