Anyone own or have access to a semi and flatbed/car carrier and want to make a trip from Nashville to Moab in the summer of 2010? If you had a rig and wanted an excuse to get out there then this might work out for everyone involved. A group of guys from the Damn Locals are planning on a trip out west and were considering this as an option for 'mass' transit.

We are just getting the ball rolling but we would have an absolute minimum of 3-4 rigs. Leaving from the Murfreesboro or Nashville area of TN. Deciding on what month would be best, weather wise it looks like May or Sept would be the most pleasant, not too hot, not too cold.
If we had two semi trucks heading out then we could probably fill both up depending on how many guys from the Damn Locals are going.
Right now there are 3 definites and a bunch more people interested.

I have a semi and access to a flatbed and will eventually plan this type trip for my Toyota club. But right now I'm stationed in Jacksonville Florida so planning time off is difficult. Keep me posted on your plans and maybe when the time gets closer I'll have the time and means to help y'all out. I'm sure you already know, but just something to keep in mind, even a 53' trailer usually only holds 3 trucks.

Cool, will do. I knew 4 would be pushing it on a single deck trailer but I don't think there would be too many full size long wheel base vehicles going from out club. Basically, at this point I am going to say that as much room as is available will get filled so the more semi's the merrier.

Hey guys, I'm getting deployed for a year and a half so I won't be able to help ya out with the trailering now. Unless something changes with my orders in the next few months, I'm out of the country til at least September 2010. I'll try to monitor this post though to see what plans turn out to be. Good luck.

my club i ride is planning to go to moab in september of 2010 we are from east tn. extreme ridge runners. we are looking to have 5-6 rigs headed that way maybe more depending. 3 of them went last september and trailered there rigs out there. it would be nice to see a big group from tn hitting moab at the same time.
