: Air locker bulkhead fitting ferrule...

Installing the nylon line in the bulkhead fitting, I couldn't get the ferrule over the line. I ended up shaving the nylon slightly so I could fit it. hmmmm, guess what? Now I have a bulkhead fitting leak.

Anyone got any tips, or hints for getting that ferrule over the line without shaving it?

chamfer the line, install ferrule before installing metal insert to plastic line.

Yup, that's what I did...

Ditch the nylon, that stuff is for ladies underthings, run real air lines or buy a locker that doesn't rely on 15 different seals and some solenoids to keep it locked. Sorry, I have nothing useful to say, my OX cable doesn't leak a bit.

What about that liquid electrical tape stuff, would that hold the PSI required to run an air breaker...I mean locker.

are you sure you used the correct ferrule? the two are different sizes, but just barley; made that mistake myself once...

Yep, second that one. 4.6mm and 5mm. But they don't mention there are 2 sizes. They just say grab the 5mm ferrule. Without thinking they were different, I grabbed it and installed it. I got the wrong one. You probably got them reversed also.

I noticed the specs and in the manual, but I'll go back and double check that, thanks guys.

Does that mean that you had no real problems installing the ferrule over the nylon line without shaving it down?

Yes, everything was fine, but only after I went back and used the correct one.
