I need to find a good FJ40 three speed tranny :eek: preferably a floor shift model with the shifter, and in good running condition.

I used to have five or six of these things, gave a couple away and junked the rest. Now I need one.

Anybody got one they want to get rid of ?

Local maybe, Sacramento / Stockton area ?

Let's trade junk for junk, I've got lots of Cruiser parts or maybe a T-Case Saver or somthing like that..........

My bro's rig ('72) is having the three speed (floor shift) swapped for a Sm420 right now at Hangtown Extreme in Placerville. He may be interested in trading it for something. The three speed was behind a 350 and was in good working condition before it was pulled. I will ask him tonight and see what he says.

reddog...I have a couple, one is floor shift, one is not...the floor shift is still in my 73 FJ40...i'll be taking it out this weekend...how soon do you need one?...you can have either one...the 3 on the tree came out of my brothers 70 FJ40...I'm in Lodi...you in the Pioneer up by Weed or up off of Hwy 88? If it's the Pioneer on Hwy 88, i'll deliver it for a t-case saver! If it's the one by Weed, I'd be willing to meet ya halfway...

You should have asked when you were over here last weekend I have 2 or 3 3sp trannys with the top shifter. I would have thrown it in the back of the FJ25 for free.:beer:

Would have also thrown in the V8 adaptor.

Thanks for the response everybody, but it looks like I'll be dealin with Big Dave. He's close to home and a T-Case Saver sounds like a good trade.

George, I know, we stood there in your garage and talked about all the "boat anchors" you had lying there. lol It wasn't till I got home I figured out I had an idea for one. Oh well, looks like I've got a deal cooking with Big Dave for a T-Case Saver.

I'm in the Pioneer up highway 88, above Jackson. I'd be happy to give you a T-Case Saver for the floor shift version and if you want to get rid of the other one I'll give you two T-Case Savers.
And if you decide to come up here and deliver them you find some other Cruiser junk you may want. I've got a few odds and ends I may be willing to part with.

I'll give you a call tomarrow. BTW I'm not in a real hurry to get them. It'll probably take me a few days to build you a couple T-Case Savers. I'm up to my ears in raffle donations at the moment. :)
