Have someone who wants my motor and I would like some more power for KOH! Looking at Blue Prints 383 405hp 420TQ motor for 3695$. They come with 30 month 50K mile warranty which would be nice. They have have Cast Iron vortec heads but can be upgraded to aluminum heads. Would you upgrade? Time is an issue and they can get it to me in a week. Current motor has MPFI on it and I will be keeping it.

What is your opinion on going this route?

Jimmy's 4X4 chassis and suspension, Radflo CO's, By-passes, and bumps, 383 stroker, Edelbrock MPFI, Atlas, 60's, PSC hydro, KMC wheels, 39' BFG's

I thought you already had a 383 in there?

I do but it doesn't have near as much power as one of these would.

Check out M&R engines , Glendale Ca.. They are on E-bay under 383 stroker.
Economy 383 about 9:1 comp. 400 HP 420TRQ with alum heads and roller rockers. Long block to my door around 3100 bucks. :D:smokin: That was with a forged crank upgrade.

I have been looking at those as well as the T & L 383. The only thing I like about Blue Prints motors are the waranty.

These are both Blue print motors and claim to have the same HP & TQ. Onlt thing I can see different is the 2 Piece rear main seal on the cheaper one. Is that really a 700$ difference?

Yeah they look exactlly the same otherwise. It says on Blueprint's site that the BP383CT1 used to be the same price so who knows why they dropped it. Maybe they just had a bunch laying around. I would get the less expensive one. No real reason not to. Then take that extra money and put a real thumpper cam in it. :D

You might want to look into those too. It comes with an intake but you could always pull that off and sell it to make a couple bucks back. But theyt come with a 12 mo/ 12000 mile warranty. Not as good as Blueprints but something to think about.

Went ahead and bought the Blue print engine for 2995$. They are on sale sale right now and that is why there is 2 different prices on summit. Hopefully it will be here by this weekend and I will be able to get them swaped out!
