I had these guys install a 6.0 into my 77 K5 and they did a SWEET job. They accomodated all my requests and did it at a great price and in a pretty damn fast time frame. Not only that, but I had them get rid of all the FI hardware and rigged it up to run on propane....the results have been better than expected. Also had them build a set of cross members for my doubler with a belly pan that covers both cases and the tranny. They've definitely earned my confidence and trust with my rig as well as my future business.:beer:

The 5.7 is going to be an aluminum block and heads along with a shorter intake.
The 6.0 LQ9 and LQ4 are a cast iron block with aluminum heads and a taller intake.

Why not pimp out the CNC plasma services as well?

Having local pickup for bay area people on one off brackets necesary is a huge benefit from my experience when I had you guys shoot out the twin pump plate.

For a limited time we will include a set of motor mount adapter plates for FREE with purchase of an engine from us. These adapter plates will let you run the stock chevy clamshell mount and basically bolt the engine in place of that old small or big block chevy.

Based on what I know, Jason would have done one of two things; assembled the 502 we have in the garage (which is too heavy and its size is too big for the buggy) or he would have contacted Pac Fab. Now I’ve been talking to JR because we have to keep in mind the buggy will not only be my rock crawler but also is JR's race rig for KOH and races like the TSCO Vegas to Reno 1000. With all that in mind we need an engine for desert and crawling that will live through all this. JR suggested the Turn Key Engine Supply’s all aluminum 402 ci LS2 580 HP engine should fit the bill to which I said no way. I’m sure Kevin can build me an equal or better 402 LS2 for the Built for Pennies buggy as Jason would have wanted it. So Kevin, start thinking about the ultimate LS2 race engine and let me know how many pennies it will cost; keep in mind we will be running a Peterson Fluid System’s dry sump system and a Steve Culhane Racing Automatic Tranny behind it. Any upgrades like better connecting rods or anything you would suggest will be appreciated. :smokin:

I've been looking into building a propane LQ9 or LS1 .. whats the going rate for one of these motors that's been stripped of all efi/engine management.

It would need the complete front accessory drive with alt. and pumps along with cam/crank and MAP sensors and coil packs along with ignition controller and intake manifold. I currently have a OHG propane kit on a GenII and would be swapping it onto the GenIII.

shayes.1967, yes the computer controls the trans.

Rocco..........., We have yet to run the propane set up on a dyno. I'm pretty confident in its ability to make as much as the injected engine with long tubes, maybe more with a little timing tweak. I would speculate 350-360hp or so. The height is similar to a typical carbed small block.

chris demartini.........., The accessory drive is our own design. We are getting ready to release it soon. It will be a kit that comes with 3 different steel brackets, hardware, a template that will show you where to trim your existing power steering/alt bracket, a idler pulley, and a custom throttle body spacer necessary to flip the flyby wire TB away from the water neck on truck engines. We have been testing this setup on a few cars and have had no issues. This will be for smog exempt cars and trucks only. The kit will allow you to run a ls2 style car intake with the larger 4 bolt TB opening but still retain the truck 3 bolt TB. It will likely run about 375.00 or so. Feel free to call us with any questions. We also sell the chrome intakes seen in the picture.

i recently found a Vortec 6.2L V8 complete with almost everything to get it started
on a pretty cheap price, the thing is I can not find parts for it like MSD coils
or a shorter oil pan just to give an example. (edit: everything i find is for a 6.0L)

Bengo, the 6.2 is similar to the 6.0. The heads are the big change. Most of the 6.0 "stuff" will be compatible. Feel free to call us with any other questions.

Looking for a motor for my backhalved TJ buggy, to later be put in a full tube chassis. I have been thinking about the all aluminum 5.3 with a TH350. Do you have this engine? What kind of price would I be looking at for the engine/harness ready to drop in and run.

Yes there have been a lot of people putting the LS motors into TJs. As far as the axles surviving thats all going to be dependent a lot of other variables. Tire size, driving style, where you are driving etc.

I have been inquiring about 5.3 engines and asked about that one. They said it was sold and would update the list a few days ago?



When I talked to them their RTR packages include the assecories, pedal, and TAC box. I found it best to call them to get answers.

They have always taken the time to answer all my questions on a few different calls.

The Yukon LQ4 is rated by GM @ 300 to 325 HP and 360-370ft of torque.

I am interested in a complete LQ9 <50k miles and a 4L65E 2WD to go with it. I'd also be interested in the manifold & related parts to convert to the LS2 low profile style intake manifold. This would be for a swap to replace a carbed gen 1 small block in a '70 Nova, so I'll need accessories, ECU, wiring harness, FBW pedal (if applicable), etc. Please let me know what you have available and PM me your pricing.

Price has increased over the last 2 years but not by much. Depending on a few options, such as needing fans or trans controls included, and which type of operating system will be used.

What is your current stock/prices of take out/ RTR engines?
