I've recently redone the front end of my 84 chevy k-10 pickup. I replaced just about everything that can be done. This is my first go around, and I cant understand why my hubs seem to be heating up. I feel like it has something to do with the wheel bearings. Is this normal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The following is a list of what I've done incase one of them may be the problem.
Replaced drag link, steering arm, pitman arm, all tie rod ends, wheel bearings and seals, ball joints and added manual locking hubs.(warn)

try this.......disconnect front brakes......drive preffered length......stop (good luck) and feel hubs. a million dollars says the hubs are tons cooler. IT'S YOUR BRAKES! braking principle....convert friction into heat......brakepads rubbing rotor = major heat. problem solved

How tight are the wheel bearings? Can you turn the rotor without too much effort? If you adjusted the bearings too tight they will heat up a lot. Try driving it for a couples miles and then coast to a stop never using the brakes. Its safer and easier than disconnecting them. If the hubs are still way hot its the bearings. If the hubs are cooler its probably just normal heat from the brakes!
