theres no trails going into frenchys its off the road.it all looks the same down there

What is soo special about Tewksbury regarding houses and property? I'm in the market here and noticed that Tewksbury prices are WAY up there for properties and houses that are not that great in comparison to surrounding areas and what you can get. No offense towards Tewksbury or anything, just trying to understand. Lower taxes? No school district? I notice most of the lots are rather large. What's the secret? Of course, right next door is Mendham, Chester, Bernardsville, etc.

Inquiring minds want to know.

That is a great question. It's quiet not much happens and a few famous people live here. There are lots of towns in jersey like that so I have no idea why it is so expensive. and taxes are not bad, but if you have a big house like (J&J) then the taxes are insane. I got a great deal so thats why i'm here.

Actually, the bronco is up on jackstands drivetrain completely out, with the tub off again. In the process of re-rebuilding it/cleaning it up.

Also have a kid now, so that is slowing me down.

I submerged my alternator one time to many and it died on the way back home.

I have AAA and they cover me for 200 miles from my house. They sent out a quad cab flat bed to pick up my jeep and had enough room for my wife and kids.

Might be an option for you.

theres a hill that is labeled "hill" on a tree, its cool after it rains and the climbs get alittle tough.

Im from sj also but a transplant to GA, you guys want mud we got all kinds but the red clay will test ya. I used to run chatsworth in the barrens and a few places in atco. yall ever been under the betsy ross bridge a place called the bird got a little of everything there from mudd to hills.

lol! it is.. only time I needed 4wd was when i got stuck in the sand.. I used 4wd more in the winter with all the snow we got then I do wheeling. lol!

the sand can be a fucking killer, and wrecking burms....the only stuff thats bad is some of the swamp mud around here and like you said the snow.

I actually look forward to winter this year. driving home in 10" of snow on unplowed roads was fun.

Medford over the years I've gone to 1/4 mile in wharton, atco and a spot in marlton. I just got a new wheeler so I'm back in action I like to explore anywhere my 79 Chevy can fit if anyone would like to bring me and my buddy along in his yj were laid back and just like to enjoy wheelin

Well it looks like I finally found where the NJ off road crowd hangs out. Seems like all the other forums (Jersey Devil, etc...) died years ago! I started out wheeling the pines in an FJ-40, sold that, didn't have a 4x4 for a while, now I'm building a Toyota Pickup for four wheeling/hunting/firewood hauling. We just picked up a Kia Borrego 4x4 as a kiddie hauler too. It's got 30" ATs and low range so I want to get it out on some light trails to see what it can do. I'm in Northwest Hunterdon County and am just starting to explore the Delaware Water Gap, Stokes, and some of the WMA land up here. I'm interested in hearing from other guys up this way who wheel those areas. The Yota should be on the road this summer and the wife and I will be bouncing around up at the Gap/Stokes this summer in the Borrego with baby and dog in tow.

Tons of trails, mostly dirt and dust now. With no rain in a while most of the mud and puddles have dried up. All legal as long as the vehicle is registered and inspected. Basically if it can drive on the road it can drive anywhere back there. Watch out though there are a few puddles that are still lurking :homer:
