This is one of those things I've never done nor seen done. Hard to do?
I'm talking about the seal in the axle tube on the drivers side.
Right now I'm using the '93 shafts in the '87 Dana 30. I'm leaking some gear oil out of the drivers side, so either a seal is shot, or the '93 axle isn't sealing correctly with the '87 tube, I don't know. There are some slight differences between those year shafts, but the seal area's looked the same.
Pull the carrier out and then pull the seal out? Put the new one in? Is the the right idea?
Thanks!
