Anyone know?
I'm hoping I can squeeze it through a D44 spindle, which is 1-5/16" at the torrington (inner) bearing.

Aargh... that's just over 1.313 (1-5/16"). Probably won't quite fit through the D44 spindle bearing. It'll be a pain having to remove the spindle and everything else, just to get the shaft out, but not the end of the world I guess.

are you making a full floater rear? if yes then most people who do that remove the needle bearings from the spindle so it fits. Some people bore out the spindles a bit too because if the housing isn't perfectly straight the shafts may rub.
