Ok guys I got tired of putting my built TJ thru mud and I'm going to keep it just for rock crawling. I got a 1977 Cj-7 that I'll be using for mud (I'm in florida) I already have a set of 38.5" boggers that I used in the past on my TJ, a D44 HD front and a D60 with disk brakes rear.

Here is my question, I have a set of rear leaf springs of a XJ with about 3" of lift, can I use them for the rear of my CJ and stretch the wheel base a little? Would I be able to use the rears on my front (so I can have wider leaf springs) ? I'm doing a SOA BTW.

One more thing I already cut the front fenders and welded fence tubing all around it to make it stronger and I'll be cutting the rear so I can fit the 38" boggers.

Thanks for the help in advance.

i don't see why that wouldn't work btf has a stretch kit for cj using xj springs. but if your gonna cut rear tub you should be fine with unlifted springs

Search XJ stretch, you'll find everything you need to know.
In short, yes you can.
In long, there are a few things that need to be worked out beforehand. IE, gas tank, fuel/brake lines, hangers, and shock mounts.

yes you can use the 3" springs , and yes you can use the rear springs in the front, but as far as making it sit level , its going to take some work in the front to get the right look. unless your into the old hot rod look. I would take a leaf out of the 3" springs to get the rear to sit lower IMHO. here is the rear stretch kit for a CJ.
