: 1990 f350 transfercase hangs low??

ok so after every one makes fun of my question can some one tell me what to do ...........some one just told me you can turn the transfercase but you have to cut up the floor and drive shaft angles change is it true??? dose any one sell a skid plate for the belly of the truck or do i have to make my own i was going to make one but i would like to see a pic of some one elses first

Another thread!?!? Why didn't you just ask this in the one you already started? Are you making reference to clocking the transfer case?

Ford DOES. If you don't have one it's because it got tossed, they are a pos anyway. Get ahold of a stocker and use it until you can upgrade to something much better.

I would just fab up a new one. It would be much stronger.

its not that low, build a skid out of some tubing and 1/4 plate

So why does the F-150 tc skid plate hang much lower than the F-350 tc skid plate ??:shaking:

ok ill just build one but yes clocking the transfercase can you do it???

You can clock the transfer case with an adapter plate; however, most guys do it to improve the front drive shaft angle. In your case, I would not worry about it. You are trying to do a budget build and aren't lifting your truck high enough to need to clock the case.
