Here is my buggy. Its not done yet, but its close. Bought the chassis used, added my built 1 tons, sbf, c4, atlas 4.3, and 42" iroks. I'm using 2 inch radflos, with 2x2 .250 wall lowers and 1.5 .250 wall dom uppers. The pix are full bump and the front link mounts still need a bit of adjustment as the frt axle is a little off center.

Just about the perfect motor. Reliable, lightweight, nice torque, very low COG and plenty of power upgrade options.

As far as wiring there are stand alone harnesses and computers availible to the sand car crowd that I can use.
As Justin said its a C4 transmission. Im not the first one to use a suburu motor but all the ones I found in my research all used power glides which for me isn't enough gearing. So I think im the first to use a 3 speed auto and I think its the second front engine configuration. Carnage crew was the first back in 04.

Its pretty cool to see the variety of rigs up here- and to see some of the ones that I know.

very nice. If getting new, could probably get the ej255 for less $ and only difference is the compression ratio is a lil higher. Run a small turbo like the stock td04 or maybe a mitsu 16g or something and have nice power down low. Can't wait to see that rig on the trails!

Id stay away from the newer engine. Rods and pistons are a little weak for beating on even in stock form.
