I can't figure out what wire goes where on my 89 yj. I put comp cuts and I just received my LED light but I can't figure out the wiring. I can weld and fab and do all kinds of other stuff! I can't wire a damn thing though.

use a volt meter while a buddy preses the brake and hits the turn signals etc. or just go with the good old trial and error method of touching wires till you get it right.
P.S. wiring is a BITCH!

I just finished doing my own wiring harness for my jeep, so I know how you feel..:mad3:. If you have a chiltons manual it should be able to lead you in the right direction...that is if you have the stock wiring harness in tact. You can call the company that you got your lights from and ask what wires do what, this will help a little. Or if all else fail,s you can pm me, I have chiltons that covers your year of jeep. good luck

IIRC there are 3 wires
one wire is tail lights
one wire is brake lights/ turn signals
one wire should be ground

Some only have two wires as well and use the mounting screws to act as ground instead. Just use a volt meter or a test light and some alligator clamps. Hook the clamps up to the light and wire and flip the turn signal on. You will know which wire you you if the light does or does not blink. Make sure to solder everything up well, use shrink tube and silicone and you should never have to worry about a bad connection.
