What do you guys think about this kit. Does it come with bushing sleeves?? Mine are all rotten so they can not be reused. Do you even need the sleeves with this kit since the bushings are stiffer? The salesman says there are not any sleeves with this kit but the picture looks like it has some??
This is for a 88 YJ

I've got the kit. It works great. I had the same problem with my body mounts (rubber was shot) so I replaced them with the Daystar kit.
They DO have a little ring around the section of the bushing that fits into the holes in the brackets on the frame, that's the only part that has a sleeve around it.
Have fun getting the original mounts out. ;) I broke two. :D

i have the daystar 1" kit in my scrambler and love it. it gives you a little more clearance under the body to work on stuff and put things like exhaust. i would strongly recommend it and plan on using it on all my future jeep vehicles.

Yeah, that's one of the biggest benefits in lifting the body-- more room. I was able to fit my NV4500 between the body and stock skidplate without having to hack it to pieces... Same with all the hoses, pump, fuel filter assembly I needed to run a PFI engine. Exhaust too. Without the body lift, I don't know how I would've crammed all that crap in there...

I put one on my old 78 Cj-7 and it didn;t have the metal inserts. Alos, you have to reuse your old washer, which may be a challenge if they are rusty. I went to the fastener supply, and he told me they were a daeler item due to the washer thickness.
IMO the M.O.R.E. kit is a better choice for about the same money. I just put it on my 87 YJ, and it was very complete. The "system" includes all new bushings and 1" aluminum pucks, and I think it is around $139.00. Overall, just a little nicer than the Dyastar kit.
Good Luck!
