Do the 14B FF axles taper down after the splines, or are they 1.5" through out the whole shaft??
Situation : If I shorten the axle can I get the stock axle re-splined (no taper), or will I need custom axles (taper down)??

They taper so no resplineing them.

What do they taper down to?? How can guys brag about 1.5" axles when they taper down?? The dimension 'should' be from the weak point IMO.
Eg. my D60 axles are SMALLER than my D44 axles. I realize everything else is stronger, but WTF's up wit dat??

I run 44's and. I run them hard and brake.
