How do the one piece axle converson hold up to thirty five inch tires with a locker and a spring over conversion. Would I just be wasting money or would it hold up well.

i did not break mine but i did not go nuts till i got my 35 spline d61 out back:D

EDIT: comming form someone that spent money on this axle DONT. a rear axle swap is one of the easyest thing to do....dont be afraid newbie. you will kick your self for spending that money on that axle. for the money you could swap in a scout rear or a 9"

i realy dont think a spring over will effect one piece shafts anymore than a SUA configuration, ive got a buddy with 36 SX's on on piece shafts(not sure what brand) and they seem to be holding up so far, but on the other hand his foot is as heavy as a feather

JUST SWAP REAR AXLES!

Why put the $ into an axle that 5 miles down the road is gonna have the tubes fall out of it? Unless you like rear axles that look like a smiley face.

Find a 44, 9", GW M20 or a 60 and build that. Pass on the CJ M20.

I've had 35's on my M20 w/ 1 pc axles for 3 years now. The left side axle shaft seal has been leaking for 1.5 years.
Do yourself a favor, get a stronger axle now instead of piecing this one together and then having to get a stronger one later.

I've got a GW M20, that is heavily trussed. Run 26x12.50 SX's. I haven't snapped the stock one piece axle shaft yet. I am light on the gas, unless I have to be. ;)

I also run a traction bar, so my jeep doesn't start hopping putting a shock on the shafts.

From my understanding though the GW M20 are heavier duty than the CJ ones. I did not think the axle tubes were the same size. If they are you could always call up SunRay and have them do the hybrid 20 axle for you. They stick bigger tubes on a 20 housing.
