How hard is it to relocate the front brake lines on a YJ? I have extended brake lines, but they are still too short after I went to a spring-over in the front. You can see from the photo that they are stretched way too tight. Also, the brake lines rub on the tires during compression. Is there anything that I need to watch out for? Where should I move the mount to?

It's easy to relocate brake lines (in general), it is very time consuming. You can go to your local auto-parts store and purchase steel lines that are a set length, and they are flared with a fittings on them. The other option is you can purchase steel brake tubing by the foot and fittings. You will have to flare it your self with a double flaring tool, this can be a bitch, you will need to do a few test runs with the flaring tool. As for the brake lines rubbing you can zip tie them to the shock ( leave room ), or you can use a spring and attach one side to the frame and the other to the brake line. The mount is up to you. hope this helps!

I had enough slack to bend the hard line to the bottom side of the frame rail on my cj. Then I just used a self-tapping screw in the frame using the original bracket. Gains about 4" Your bump stop will ptotect the line/bracket.

Do it the correct way and buy longer stainless lines and then just get a mini bungee to pull them away from the tire. You might have to replace the mini bungee every 2 years or so but it works really well.

I did what Ilplumber did. Moved them to the bottom of the frame.

Like the other guys were saying, just move the hard lines to the bottom of the frame in the meantime. Then you can buy braided stainless lines down the road.
