If all goes well today, I will have a new tow rig.
1999 Chevy Tahoe 2 door. (not a pickup)
Keep your fingers crossed. Its almost time to play THE PRICE IS RIGHT.
All they have to do is meet my price and its mine. Mine, and the banks.
I know I know, its not a 2 ton diesel, that can pull down the empire state building. But it should get the job done for me.
Its more impt to have a good daily ride then just a tow rig for me, and this will do both.
I have been having "Bowtie" withdrawl for quite some time... Cant wait to start posting on the Chevy BB!!
Oh yea 5.7 ltr Vortec

On the subject of towing for very future reference, what's the towing limit of a Dodge Dakota, and especially the Dakota R/T?? I'm prepared for flames, but I don't care. Just wondering. In a few years I might look for a used one for daily/possible occasional tow duties. (The suit is on)

just to warn you those things get unbeleivably bad gas milage, expecially while towing. I know 3 people who tow with them (ones actually a durango) and they get no better then fullsize trucks, if not worse, and you get none of the advantages of towing with a fullsize. I guess I've heard of this with the Ram's too maybe its a dodge thing?
BellyUp: good luck on the purchase, i think you will be very pleased with the towing ability of the chevy . I feel if you can't get a heavy duty truck you gotta go chevy.
