got a stock 88 b2 right now and most of the parts for a sas. 76 f150 44 4.56ls, 80s 8.8" 4.56ls, 6" lift 63" chevy leafs, 36" tsl's, but I not sure witch way to go on the front coils. I'm planning on extending the stock rad arms.
would large lift jeep coils work out better and be easy to fab the buckets or should I go with 5.5" eb coils and keep digging through jy's for some stock buckets? looking for good travel, on road handeling, and flexable.
I've been looking at this for some time now but haven't foung any good info.

I'd go would go 78 coil buckets and 4 inch super flex coils with f-250 shock mounts

F/S coils would be too stiff. i used wild horses 5.5 coils and new coil buckets from bronco graveyard.

I checked out bg buckets and they look easy enough to make but why Wild horses coils? who here likes the progresive rate coils over linear rate? and why?

I ended up buying a set of the EB upper coil buckets cause I couldn't get the EB spring to fit in the RBV bucket worth a shit. I went with the BC Bronco's coils on my SAS'd 93 Ranger, Supercab, 4.0L, winch, ect. I believe they are 240lb/in. In my opinion, it's a bit too much spring for this truck. I run dual 5150's in the front because I was expecting the springs to be softer. I think it would be killer right around 200 :smokin:

If the EB coils are too stiff for the above, then you'd for sure need something softer. I'd recommend the jeep coils on a BII, or at minimum the lowest rate EB coils you can get(should be the superflex AFAIK).

Look at this (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=636039) thread for some rates.

Good luck.

strange...I've run wild horse 2in and 6in in 2 diffrent trucks...my 2in fit my STOCK 96 xcab and gave it a SWEET ride..fit the buckets too...

the 6in on my SAS sploder and I lovem...did make diffrent buckets but thats due to not wanting to cut the coils for the ride height..
