I read so many posts about poor cutomer service, I thought I'd share a positive experience with y'all that I had with Marsh Racing Technologies.

A couple of weeks ago I hammered a beadlock pretty bad and sheared off some bolts folding the ring back over the wheel.

I called MRT and spoke with a gentleman named Brant Chenoweth and explained the situation and I told him that I didnt want to spend the $$$ on a new wheel and would they look at it and see if they could fix it. He told me "no problem, send it in and we'll look at it." Great! But the cynic in me was sure they would get it there and tell me I have to buy a new one.

A few days later I got a call from Brant and the first words out of his mouth were "how the hell did you do this?" After a good laugh at the story he explained that the wheel wasnt quite true anymore and that he would have to cut off all the tab nuts and weld on new ones and the ring would obviously need to be replaced. Then he said "BTW, it fixed and im sending it back tomorrow." UhOh, How much? They charged me about $30.00 for everything (new bolts too) shipping included.

These guys kick ass! But wait, it aint over. I finally got around to mountin a tire on the wheel last weekend only to find that the wheel was leaking. Monday morning I boxed it up and shipped it back. I called and asked for Brant but he was busy so they put me through to Lyle Marsh. What a cool guy! I told him what was up and he said the silicon seal must have a pinhole and that they they would take care of it. This morning he called me and he said they fixed yesterday it and sent it OVERNIGHT so I will be seeing it TODAY!! Sure enough it showed up, 3 days after I sent it to him. Holy Crap! Talk about good service.

I mounted it up, no leaks. I am one very satisfied customer :D To top it all off, he sent a letter of appology with the wheel. Here's the body of the letter;

Hi Kevin,

I am sorry for the weld and silicone problem. Thanks for your patience. Its embarrassing to have a customer mount a tire on a rock crawling wheel only to find a leak in the assembly.

We do our best to see that it doesn't happen and thats the reason we apply the silicone.
Take a look at the attached sticker and if you ever have this happen again that will save you time and money.

Sincerely, Lyle

Well it turns out the sticker gives the sealant part number to reseal the rim. Now im the one thats embarrassed.

MRT stands behind their product ALL THE WAY!!!

Good to know!

I've bought a couple sets of their wheels and they mounted up good and seem to work good too. I haven't had the need to send them back. Knock...Knock...Knock !

No shit!! I did something similar to a chrome modular a few months back. Thanks again to the "animal" that came out to wheel with us, a big ass hammer and tiny guy with MAJOR anger issues, and we were back on the road! :laughing:

I was on this super duper extreme hardcore gnarly trail when all of a sudden, a cut-off tree stump lunged out and tried to kill me. But fortunately for my cat-like reflexes. I was able to take evasive action and avoid certain death.

Yes, I hit a friggin tree stump. I wasnt paying enough attention and going too fast on a easy trail I've been on more times than I can count. In fact, just about every sidewall I've ever cut has been on this trail for the same reasons. I think its called complacency.

Complacency... is that the trail or your dumb-ass move? ;)
