Just moved up here from San Diego. Hauled 2 Jeeps all 3500 miles of it behind my truck. Stationed over in Prospect Harbor, live just outside of Ellsworth. Anyone got any trips lined up? Or know some good trail? I'd appreciate any help, looking to get wheelin, been about 3 weeks since I did any damage to my rig.

There is a few trails down your way. Scootic (sp?) Mtn is a decent trail. If you're interested in joining a club, there is alot of members of Maine Offroading.org from the Ellsworth area as well. We do (and will be doing) alot of wheeling with them this summer. Great group of people :D

Cajun, ifin you happening to be rolling through Ellsworth, swing into K&B automotive on the Surrey Rd. Ask for Brett. He's usually a good focal point down there and has a decent handle on whats going on, or can point you in the right direction. I usually stick to myself and havent really run with the Ellsworth crew in a couple of years. Running up Scoodic was a good time, havent been that way in a few years-mostly because the last time I hadda get drug down off the Mt, with a whole bunch of neutrals, minimal brakes, it was raining cats and dogs and I almost ended on my lid. Im sure that it has changed substantially since I was last there.

Rusty arent you from down in Rockland?
