Hey guys,
Has anybody here paid a visit to the dealer in the recent past or did any one buy a new Jeep ? I need to get a general idea on what others are paying for a brand new 09 Wrangler -x, burnt Orange, manual trans, two door, soft top, no AC, heater.
Here in CA Bay area, they are around 20K out of door...:mad3: geez

A friend just bought an '08 x with 44 rear, rear locker, electric sway disconnects for $18k out the door.
I'd bet with Chrysler going down the poop hole right now, you could probably get an '09 for a little cheaper with pretty low interest rates.
I believe they just started their employee pricing also.

that's what surprises me, they are still talking high and loud. Their prices aren't any different from what I know from last year...if any thing it has increased. :mad3:

First off, move this to chit chat. There is no tech in this thread.
Second, Jeffb 79 you or your friend are on drugs. A '08 base X package might get close to the number you said but you can't get a base X with the rear locker and electric sway bar. That alone is a $1500 option and you have to step up to an S package to get it. You aren't touching that for anywhere close to 18k.
To the OP, 20k is about what you can expect to pay for what you described. The freaking manufacturing costs of these things doesn't go down because they are hurting for money.:shaking: Selling them all at a loss wouldn't help them at all now would it.:flipoff2:
edit: IF you could find an '08 Wrangler X 23S package with no options other than the rear locker and electric sway bar it would still cost just over 20k with the EP pricing and rebates.
A base '09 with no air, soft top, manual trans should be close to 19K after incentives. But that would be with NO options.
