So hopefully there will be enough traffic for this one.

I am getting ready to make the trip to Moab for 7 days of wheeling. While I know what to take for the typical trips, I am scratching my head as to what extra I need for such a long trip.

I certainly will be bringing the following, but what are the strange spares that you would take or do take for those oh shit moments.

spare 60 shafts (I am run chromoly but just in case)
spare drive shafts
u-joints
yokes
tire
hydro hoses
heims
suspension bolts
coilover rebuild kits
nitrogen
CO2
welder
2 backup cases of beer just in case
spare hoses and lines
wire and wiring tools

There must be some other must have components to keep in the trailer or on the rig. Don't worry trash bags will have backups for their backups.

some scrap steel and a grinder cut off wheel might be useful

Kicking myself for saying this, but scatch the beer. Especially if you're running lean on space. You can always buy more, cold beer when you get there. (or just before you get in there) I've had to tell myself this plenty of times in the past. Besides, you'll have to keep it cold all the while your hauling... Just easier to buy it there. My 2cents...

Electrical tape?
zip ties?
hi-lift or the likes of?
flashlights?
bungees/ratchets?

That some good stuff I hadn't thought of. Some of it is just the basics that stay in the rig all the time. As for beer. My big cooler holds 9 cases no problem and the small cooler will handle another 6. Then the smaller one is for food. With 3-4 tow rigs heading out there should be room for coolers.

My rig is a full buggy with a jeep 4.0l, ax-15,dana 300 4:1, 60, 14 bolt, 42's. Short of the engine and trans I think I have stuff that will fix the rest. As for on the trail I don't have a lot of space, but the other rigs are similar so we are spliting spare and tool duty.
