I need to know the width of a stock 1976 3/4 ton 14 bolt spring pads, and a stock 9"s spring pads out of a 78 f-150. I have the f-150 and may be swapping in the 14 bolt when I get back, just wanna know if I'm gonna have to move the pads or not. Please dont tell me to go check myself, as I'm in Okinawa Japan and don't have access to the axle or the truck.

14 bolt should have 2.5" perches and the 9" has 3" perches. I am in the process of putting a 1 ton 14 bolt into a 79 bronco and i have to move the perches out a few inches closer to the wheels. So yes you will have to move the perches.

1 ton 14 bolts have the spring perches spaced to 40.5" and 3/4 tons have then at 42.5" but I don't know about ford 9's.
