These guys are so clueless. :shaking:

Don't they realise that they need wheeled motorized access in order to fish and hunt?

The exceptional fish and game resources found in the Modoc National Forest are depending on sportsmen to stand up and demand that they be protected from the surplus of motorized routes that would further degrade water quality and fragment large game habitat. Please visit our online action center today and stand up for native trout populations.

Comments are due by February 11, 2009.

WHY WE CARE

The Modoc National Forest is one of the most diverse forests enjoyed by sportsmen in the West. Two native trout species, the Warner and Goose Lake redband trout, are at serious risk from unmanaged off-highway vehicle use and the proliferation of new roads in the forest. The Modoc boasts exceptional hunting for both upland birds and large game species such as Rocky Mountain Elk and California Mule Deer. Tell Forest Supervisor Stanley Sylva that we have enough roads, and that we sportsmen need more wild country, not less.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Visit our online action center and send a letter expressing concern to Forest Supervisor Stanley Sylva and Travel Management Interdisciplinary Team Leader Kathleen Borovac about the proposal to add an additional 336 miles of unauthorized roads to the Modoc National Forest. You can also email your own comments to ssylva@fs.fed.us and kborovac@fs.fed.us.
Follow up with a call to the Modoc National Forest to speak with Stanley Sylva, at (530) 233-8702, or Kathleen Borovac, at (530) 233-8754.

Let's all use their "action center" to send letters of our own opinion promoting the 336 miles of new trails.

Sweet! I just sent a letter regarding the Modoc DEIS saying they should keep the additional propsed routes and how it would benefit more visitors and offer better hunting and fishing opportunities.:flipoff2:Enviro-nazis.
BTW this grouop is also in favor of the Omnibus. They had that letter locked though, and I couldn't modify it to my liking.

Sure you can! Just takes a little extra work.

* Install the Firefox web browser if you don't already have it
* Install the web developer add-on toolbar (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60)
* Once that's working navigate to the TU page with the Omnicrap bill
* On the toolbar click on 'Forms' and then on 'Make Form Fields Writable'.

Then you can dick with their letter all you want and then submit it. :smokin:

Regards,
....Mike

Ooops, their web developers are smart and cleanse the data behind the scenes. Back to the drawing board....
