I just thought I'd share my recent snowplow project. For years my dad has been giving me shit for not doing anything productive with my "green tractor" and I needed a snowplow but can't justify buying one right now, so I made one for my EB. I just made it to clear my driveway and such, nothing fancy, and i'm into it $60 total :D. The frame brackets are easly removed with 6-1/2" bolts so that I don't have anything hanging me up for wheelin.

Well here I am wishing my EB had never pushed a sno plow and here you are to the contrary.

Does that thing plow the roads or up mountain slopes?

Thanks, looks even better now as I got two pieces of "real" snowplow blade and it cuts a lot better. The plow is now too heavy for the pulley (650lb rated) and it ruined the bronze bushing and bent the bar the "D" ring is attached to, so back in the garage tonight for a little fine tuning.

you using your winch to raise and lower that right? Post up some new pics of your updated contraption!

put a bar right against the back of the barrel.. inbetween two of those curved pipes.. less leverage that way. it should help out alot.

Yep, your lift point is too close to the hinge point, the way you have it set up, the plow has a mechanical advantage over your winch, so it's actually seeing more load than the plow actually weighs. Something low and as close to the back of the moldboard as practical is what you want.

sweet bronco reminds me of mine, like your plow, I had a friend make a plow out of 2x12's, it was a joke, but he used it for years, just had to change a board every now and then.
