Wow. Those shackles are almost as long as we've been waiting for the Naches 08 video.

Redesign the suspension or that thing will shit the axles out from under in on the first speed bump

After seeing this unique piece of fabrication I had a flash back, so I dug through some old photos and voila!!! I took these at Barnwell Mountain outside of Gilmer Texas a few years ago, he was on his 'shake down run' and thankfully not associated with any of us other Scout folks ... he just showed up coincidentally.

Had some sort of diesel in it, probably needed it to haul those bumpers around.

I'm new to this site, and I just got the thing, everything done to it is how i got it. All i've done is strip the body and throw the rocs under it, just to get some ideas. The truck is just sitting on the axles as you can see, and yes, those mile long shackles are going. I was looking for new ideas.

Before you take that thing out to wheel include me in your will. I want the rockwells. :flipoff2:. Seriously you need to study up before you move any further. Mech is right the first time you hit a bump those springs are fuct. And for god sakes get rid of those shackles.

I just bought it the week before the North TX binders meet and I just threw the rockwells under it to make the meet.

It didn't stay that way.
I sold it to a guy on pirate and he replaced the perkins diesel with a 350 chevy.

I don't care what it has for a motor. I can't get past the sweet fab work and the well casing bumpers. Only in Texas.....:shaking:

That is probably why they went with the rockwells. After all that fab they decided they better go with a set of 2 1/2 tons.:laughing:

It's OK .. that is the chain drive type of rockwell, he will be fine :D

Look at adding a track bar front and rear. You need some mega lift springs or push the axle out in front of the oil pan. I would do a lot of searching to see how other spent there money.

i love the rock lights,but not as much as the 18'' box tubing holding the spring off the axle with the side gusset,just to be sure.and wtf are those silver links?what left over fence post? aahhh!!! fuck it bob,weld um in,they look great!!!!!!!!!!!.betcha that guy was proud as shit ridin around in that thing.reminds me of a swamp buggy with the military tires.sad thing is i have seen shit like that in my own town pull up next to me and they all have the same proud,look at me grin.
