To start, I am trading my toyota trail rig for a 78 ford f-150 short bed, with a 460 and 4 speed, plus a HP kingpin 60 front and 10.25 rear. My question to you all is. What kind of problems will I run into when swapping in the 1 tons? I plan on running the suspension just how it is, and already plan on getting a crossover kit. So is it gonna be a bitch to keep the half ton suspension, or should I just put leave springs in the front? Thanks in advance for the help, I am gonna go put on my flamesuit now.:flipoff2:

3...All you need to do is get the "C- wedges" from Duffs or Bronco Graveyard & have them machiend out to fit your D-60 housing...Or you can buy the cage arms & mounts & go that rout... Other than that its just like doing a lift kit on a half ton Ford...Well after you get the wedges on...

This is what the wedges look like if you didnt know...

Just buy those wedges, got mine from james duff, weld them on, have to put a 3/8 or so spacer between the c's and make a track bar mount.

What years the front axle? If its the 80's style you'll need to do some grindage to make the wedges fit.
