Well,
With everyone sharing all their happy happy progress reports and hi-fives, I almost feel guilty posting this but here goes:

Moab, might as well be on the moon right now. Just came in from the garage and the prognosis is fatal. The bullfrog has croaked. While changing the injectors, i got a shard of metal in the cylinder. I removed what I thought was all the debris with a magnet, but starting it prooved otherwise. Im afraid its terminal, well close enough. Spent all my $$ prepping for the trip, so Ive got no cash to make the repairs, and no wheels. i cant even drive to the storage unit to get my bicycle . . . ha.

My friend, that is a drag.

I saw a shaving go down a carb once, not be found, and with the same result.

Do you have a plan?

Short block? Long block? My brother fabs in Indy near the speedway, so let me know if I can help.....

oh yeah and ike just so you know there is a place about a half hour from my house that sells running 6ATs for $2000 ea, best price ive found.

also im sure you could find a cheap running chevy 250 or 292 to throw in there for the rally :D

Man Ike, that's rough. Like some of the others, I've seen some crazy stuff go down an intake. One was a wood screw-boy did that tear things up. Another time, I saw a welders skull cap get sucked into an 8-71 Detroit-it never even stumbled!

Good luck and if you need any help, let me know.

D'Oh, you know, I can always set you up with a 2.25 if you really want to goto Moab.
