Hey yall i just finished doing a sh*t load of work on the jeep which included removing the radiator to do the work. I just got it all installed and noticed i must have hit the radiator while reinstalling it and now there is a very small leak on the top of the radiator. It is extremly small right now so i figure it would be worth attempting to fix. Can anyone tell me what would be the best product to use to solder with. I have a small propane torch but i need to know which kind of solder and what needed as a hardener.
And yes i have done searches and i will be getting this repaired by a shop in a few weeks but i need to find a way to get through a trail run this weekend.
Thanks

I'd try JB Weld.

I'd try JB Weld.
X2. I used JB Weld on my friends radiator, and it has held up for two years so far.

Wire brush the paint and dirt off first. Then goop it up. If it a decent sized hole you can use a coin or other piece of metal to help back the fix.
Works great for a trail repair.

Whatever solder you already own will work just fine. 60/40 is holding my heater core together.

what kind of rad is it, brass you can use pretty much anything, stay away from acid core though mite do some damage. aluminuim rad try silver soider, i believe that is what i have used in the past. the key is to get it clean, heat the area up and tin the area around it first then try and fix the hole.
